“Wow, I can’t even imagine where to begin in my praises of this facility! For starters, I have never encountered a more sensitive and empathetic treatment team that so accurately customizes their treatment to each individual. From Dr. Ockman and my therapist, Sandy on the clinical side, to all the kind and generous technicians on the residential side, Gus, and John, in particular. Lifeskills is by far the quintessential treatment center for anyone struggling with substance abuse or dual diagnosis issues. Highly recommended!

“Lifeskills helped me in so many ways. They really changed my life mentality and helped me with my bipolar disorder as well as my addiction. They gave me coping skills for addiction and anger management, which has been great for communication. My relationships with my family have also improved tremendously. The staff has been amazing, both residential (especially Gus) and clinical staff – they are kind, help you with all your needs, and direct you in the most positive way. I would suggest Lifeskills to anyone in need of help in mental health and addiction.

Clinical Pathways

As the foundation of our evidence-based practices, Lifeskills in Deerfield Beach, South Florida offers Clinical Pathways, and each is led by a doctoral-level or licensed clinician with additional national certifications in their area of expertise. Based on an assessment of clinical need and diagnosis, each client is prescribed the most appropriate primary and secondary clinical pathways. Throughout mental health treatment, we’re flexible to ensure that each client’s psychiatric care recovery journey is right for them.

Paying for Treatment

Who does Lifeskills treat?

Adults, 18 and older, of all genders

medical-insurance

Does Lifeskills accept insurance?

Out-of-network benefits only

government-building

Does Lifeskills accept Medicare or Medicaid?

No

Lifeskills is a private-pay facility that can work with out-of-network benefits. The cost of treatment depends on the length of stay and the level of care. We generally recommend a minimum of 60-90 days of treatment, with most clients beginning at the residential level of care. As insurance plans vary, most clients will use a combination of private pay and insurance benefits to cover their costs.

Prior to treatment, we help each client determine the out-of-pocket costs needed to cover the anticipated length of stay and help them determine their out-of-network benefits.

Please note we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Better Outcomes, Sustainable Healing

As a National Center of Clinical Excellence, Lifeskills is a leading authority in mental health and addiction treatment with outcomes that lead the industry for the client populations we serve. In 2022, our residential treatment services reported:

Frequently Asked Questions

Provided below are responses to frequently asked questions about the Lifeskills mental health disorder and substance use disorder treatment programs. If you have additional questions, please reach out to us at 954-953-1742.
Our mental health facilities are private-pay facilities. We can also work with out-of-network benefits; however, we don’t accept Medicaid and Medicare. Our Admissions Team is available at 954-953-1742 to discuss payment options with you.
Although we treat individuals struggling with substance use disorders at Lifeskills, we aren’t a primary addiction treatment center or a primary alcohol treatment center.
One reason that we achieve positive outcomes is because at our mental health recovery center, we don’t put recovery on a timetable. Each client’s circumstances and treatment needs are different from many of our clients who average three months at our residential treatment program. The length of stay at Lifeskills’ mental health rehab is entirely dependent upon the unique needs of each client, the complexity of their condition(s), and the rate at which they progress. Clients are challenged to reintegrate into their community and achieve their personal treatment goals as quickly as they are able.
Our strong Family Support Program offers support, education, and guidance to you and your loved ones throughout the treatment process. Upon admission, you will be assigned a licensed therapist who will be in constant communication with your family, as you allow. Additionally, they will help facilitate family sessions, visitation, and any other family-related need that arises.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your recovery, we’re here to help.
