About Lifeskills South Florida Treatment

Clinically Excellent Care

Since 1991, Lifeskills South Florida has offered customized treatment programs for all genders, ages 18 and over, suffering from mental health conditions and substance use disorders. We provide clinically excellent, evidence-based, and collaborative treatment programs that are tailored based on each client’s unique needs to address a variety of mental health disorders as well as substance use disorder. Through our residential treatment program (RTC), partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and transitional living we ensure our clients can successfully transition back into their home life, family life, and careers with newfound self-esteem, direction, and control.

Since everyone has different experiences with mental health disorders, mental health therapies must be equally as unique to address those diverse needs. Working with qualified clinicians at Lifeskills gives individuals the opportunity to develop personalized mental health treatment plans that address their needs and help them take the next step in their recovery.

At Lifeskills, we offer comprehensive mental health treatment via our Clinical Pathways as well as other clinical modalities, which help unlock underlying thoughts, feelings, and emotions to help each client and their clinicians work together to evaluate unhealthy behaviors or habits. We also offer a robust Family Support Program that includes a family assessment as well as intensive therapy with a dedicated family therapist.

Why Lifeskills South Florida?

With so many different treatment options, selecting a treatment center for mental health disorder and substance abuse disorder treatment can be challenging. At Lifeskills we focus not just on the presenting problems but rather, we target the underlying disorders that contribute to them. In a healing environment that promotes recovery, resiliency, and self-determination, our clinicians utilize a comprehensive approach to treatment that addresses all the challenges clients face.

Our Clinical Pathways

As the foundation of our evidence-based practices, Lifeskills offers Clinical Pathways, and each is led by a doctoral-level or licensed clinician with additional national certifications in their area of expertise. Based on an assessment of clinical need and diagnosis, each client is prescribed the most appropriate primary and secondary clinical pathways. Throughout treatment, we’re flexible within our clinical pathways to ensure that each client’s recovery journey is right for them.

Our Adaptive Treatment Programs

Our advanced therapeutic programming is flexible enough to evolve and adapt as our clients progress through their complex, nuanced recovery. As a client moves through their recovery, their symptomology will change, so their treatment must evolve as well.

Our Collaborative Approach

Our caring professionals partner with each client, their support system, and their community providers to design an effective, customized care plan utilizing a comprehensive approach to treatment that addresses their specific mental health condition. Each client has a dedicated primary therapist as well as a dedicated family therapist.

Our mental health facilities are private-pay facilities. We can also work with out-of-network benefits; however, we don’t accept Medicaid or Medicare. Our Admissions Team is available at 954.691.3174 to discuss payment options with you.

While we treat individuals with co-occurring substance use disorder and mental illness, we aren’t a detox center or primary addiction treatment facility.

One reason that we achieve positive outcomes is because at our mental health recovery center, we don’t put recovery on a timetable. Each client’s circumstances and treatment needs are different from many of our clients who average three months at our residential treatment program. The length of stay at Lifeskills’ mental health rehab is entirely dependent upon the unique needs of each client, the complexity of their condition(s), and the rate at which they progress. Clients are challenged to reintegrate into their community and achieve their personal treatment goals as quickly as they are able.
Our strong Family Support Program offers support, education, and guidance to you and your loved ones throughout the treatment process. Upon admission, you will be assigned a licensed therapist who will be in constant communication with your family, as you allow. Additionally, they will help facilitate family sessions, visitation, and any other family-related need that arises.
