Program Overview

As part of our mission, we believe that individuals can change with proper therapeutic support. At Lifeskills Delray Beach: Outpatient, we offer compassionate care that incorporates traditional, integrative, and expressive therapies and gives our clients the tools they need to live a life of freedom from their disorders.

Levels of Care

Our outpatient programs provide clients with opportunities to expand independent living skills while increasing their responsibilities. Clients may admit directly to the outpatient programs or based on clinical need, may step down from intensive residential treatment. At Lifeskills Delray Beach: Outpatient, we offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP) as well as an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients can live in our transitional living community, Osceola Village, while attending PHP and IOP.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our PHP offers intensive treatment five days per week, consisting of highly structured, evidence-based therapy during the day. Our program provides clients autonomy in a safe environment to practice recovery skills in real-life situations. Our clinicians work with clients to provide a treatment plan that includes individual and group therapy sessions that help them learn skills needed to live an independent life outside of treatment. Many clients in PHP may be working, volunteering, or attending school. Our PHP groups include:

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP is a step-down level of treatment from residential treatment or our partial hospitalization program (PHP). Our IOP is designed to help support the recovery process and involves 10 hours of treatment per week. Based upon the intake assessment, there are two tracks available: an 8-week track or a 12-week track. Our IOP groups include:

How We Treat

We believe that each person can change with the right support. Our programming is built on a foundation of evidence-based best practices, integrated care, life skills training, and family support, with clinical pathways led by doctoral-level or licensed clinicians who create tailored and flexible treatment plans that empower each person to sustain long-term recovery.

Embedded within our clinical pathways are a variety of evidence-based, best-practice clinical modalities that are prescribed based on each client’s diagnosis to ensure treatment is tailored appropriately, including the following therapies

"I have learned a lot from my stay at Lifeskills. I have had two different therapists, and though they had different styles, I got something from them. Great community and fulfilled expectations. Would recommend. I have dual diagnosis, and they seemed to cover both well."

"I think my time here at Lifeskills has been helpful. I have made the changes I wanted to make. My therapist, Amy, supported me very well during my stay here. I would recommend this place for any age."

“My stay at Lifeskills has been very beneficial to my path in recovery. Starting with Dr. Nicole and Dr. Mirella at residential and then Sheryl and Jason at PHP, this clinical team has helped me completely turn my life around. I am proud to say my relationships, way of life, and attitude have entirely changed for the better, and I owe it to Lifeskills for this change.

“I have been in the PHP for over a month and a half, and Jason is my therapist. I was wary about coming to PHP and starting all over with a new therapist, but Jason listened to me and made me feel at ease. Yes, we did have a bit of a rough start, but after we talked it out, he was able to accommodate me and how I like to do therapy, and it’s been smooth sailing. I love the groups here at PHP. They are very informative, and I have learned so many skills. I had a rough couple of weeks, but Jason made sure to see me often until I was stable again, and I can’t be more thankful. If I happen to relapse, I know Jason and the whole Lifeskills family is here for me and will welcome me back.
